1. fervent（熱心な）

= He is a fervent supporter of the Republican Party.

2. buoyant（上昇傾向の）

= The stock market has been buoyant over the past few months.

3. paltry（ごくわずかな）

= The company's sales have increased  by a paltry 0.3 percent.

4. serene（穏やかな）

= She has a very soft, serene face.

5. tentative（仮の、暫定的な）

= Both sides have reached a tentative agreement on the issue.

6. integral（不可欠な、なくてはならない）

= Excercise is integral to weight loss.

7. rowdy（騒々しい、乱暴な）

= They were rowdy, but weren't out of control.

8. lousy（ひどい、お粗末な）

= That was the lousiest movie I have ever seen.
